A feature-length documentary for release in Spring 2020 that commemorates the 150,000 Canadian warhorse of WW1 that never returned home. A blend of epic-adventure and historical narrative the film puts viewers in the saddle of these heroic mounts and reenacts the horses’ journey from Val-Cartier, Quebec, 1914 to Mons, Belgium, 1918 exactly one hundred years later.

A professional practitioner’s reflection written in three-act structure examining the philosophical, psychological, neurological and pedagogical foundations of professional creative practices. T
wo grounded theories of creativity, one substantive and one formal, are posited as the practical and theoretical bases of a program of research into the teaching and evaluation of creativity in language arts education. Using an original core concept of critical feeling the theories demonstrate how the core technologies and production practices of cinéma verité documentary filmmaking are synaesthetic triggers of creativity’s soma-aesthetic processes.

A practitioner inquiry of a case-study analysis that demonstrates how cinéma vérité, and its particular use of technology, exosomatizes creativity’s soma-aesthetic core processes of response, recognition, and representation in order to teach the creative process as the basic social processes of feeling, seeing and saying using data generated from a reflective professional practicum teaching documentary filmmaking to high-school English students that evolved into a feature-length youth-directed documentary film produced by the National Film Board of Canada entitled SALT ©2000
